A few abstract images gleaned from today’s Piney Woods Church walk. I am enjoying the possibilities of the blur. I have opted for spare titles to accompany them. From top to bottom: Winter Shrub; Robin in the Lawn; Distant Leaf; Budding Tree; and Loblolly Pine.
What kind of aperature did you use? Love them!
Thank you, Christin! I used Aperture Priority with my Sony Cybershot. I actually kept auto-focus on, and zoomed to maximum or near-maximum telephoto. At that distance, 5.6 is the only F-stop I can use. By aiming the lens at a tangled thicket and zooming out (shooting through the intervening branches), I was able to trick the camera into letting me take these blurred images. I love the result, even if the means of obtaining these pictures was rather primitive.
