From my evening walk along Piney Woods Church Road, I offer these three leaves, in the order I noticed them: the first and third are white oak, and the middle one is greenbrier.
From my evening walk along Piney Woods Church Road, I offer these three leaves, in the order I noticed them: the first and third are white oak, and the middle one is greenbrier.
this last one looks like leather. Wonder who and what eats away at these leaves.
I am a bit baffled, too. I did see some small caterpillars on one oak leaf — they had completely devoured it except for the major veins. For all the leaf munching go on out there, I am surprised at how rarely I encounter any of the culprits. Thanks for the comment!
