I took these photographs on Piney Woods Church Road four mornings ago, after a dense fog had blanketed all the spiderwebs with dew. The cattle pastures were covered with webs, and many more were strung along the barbed-wire fences along the roadside.
This is an amazing collection, Clifford. Usually I’m inspired to try something for myself after seeing your work. But I think you’ve caught almost everything there is to be caught (except the insect-victims) in your shots. Wow!
Robin, I felt like I could take dozens more photographs of all the webs I saw that morning, and still not begin to capture them all. Looking across the cattle pasture and seeing dozens of mist-bejeweled orb webs amongst the tall grasses, I appreciated anew the riches that I find practically at my doorstep. Thank you.
