Here is another photograph I took of the old tulip poplar late this morning, this time with a small brown bird (a.k.a., little brown job) perched on the fence wire.  After the thought, I considered how much more splendid this photo would be if I had only used a polarizing filter….

  1. polarizing filter? In Photo-shop?

    • Robin, I confess that I do not use Photoshop. I plan to learn Lightroom — I even have a great video workshop series I plan to view once I have the time. Meanwhile, I am still shooting JPG files and using Google Picasa 3 for all of my editing work. There isn’t a good polarizing filter function in Picasa 3, though. Besides, I prefer to do things like using a polarizer in the field as much as possible, rather than in photo editing. I am online so many hours each week teaching university classes that I want to keep my photo-adjustments as brief as possible.
