I was going back through my photos from today, and I found several that I took in an attempt to capture a clump of resurrection ferns growing on the branches of a pecan tree. The lighting didn’t cooperate, unfortunately. But after trimming one of the images, I found the result so intriguing that I decided to share it here.
I glanced up from photographing the daffodil to spot this nuthatch scampering down the trunk of a pecan tree across the road. Quickly, without much thought, I snapped this picture. And then he was gone….
On a drizzly gray afternoon, I saw two bluebirds perched amid the branches of an old pecan tree. It was a poem without words.
